Dennis’ story
Dennis started painting in the final years of his schooling. He was lucky enough to have an art teacher who took an interest and guided him well. Dennis’ paintings were put into children’s exhibitions and they won ‘highly commended’ awards, which led to his first public display: a mural painting on the walls of his school’s corridor.
He stopped painting whilst building a career in Project Management and raising a family, but never lost his love of art. Now retired, he has 7 grandchildren (his biggest fans) and spends his free time painting.
The art
Dennis has a love for the early impressionist-period painters Monet, Picasso, Modigliani and the more recent colourist John Bellany.
Through this he has created his own style of painting which shows a combination of expressionistic, seductive and figurative work with a story behind each piece.
He uses acrylic and oil paints, and on occasion offers high quality, low limited edition prints on canvas.
